First let's start with the cover of the book. In the cover there are pictures of temple, Ghats of Banaras, and Thunderstorms. That hints us about the fact that in the content there is mythology and thunderstorms denotes thriller. Though the cover doesn't catch my attention, but it's meaningful.

Now The story starts at Delhi in 2017 with the hand of Vidyut Shastri, the protagonist. Vidyut's dying ancestor summons him to Banaras. Their bloodline carries an ancient curse that will kill everyone. Harappa, the city on the banks of mighty Saraswati river. There are so many untold things. This is a parallel story. Where present and past are running parallely. 1700 BCE Harappa and 2017, time is not a joke. In 2017 history repeats itself. The world's most powerful religious institute is rattled. Europe's dreaded crime lord meets a mysterious man in Paris. A lethal assassin boards a train. ' The prophesied devta has returned.'

But who is this 'Devta'?
And 'what was the ancient curse?
And what is the relations between Baranas, Harappa, and Rome?

The author writes this story with meaningful thoughts and he has a clear concept about our ancient civilization. He makes hard works for this. And that's why this book is both enjoyable and informative. This is a mythology with twist thriller and fiction.

The people, who loves 'History', 'Mystery' and 'thriller fiction', this is a highly recomanded book for them.

The bad thing of this book is after reading full story i yet don't know what was the 'curse'? That's disappointing. But the author gives us a hope by writing ' To Be Continued..' . And he also provided the name of the sequel...and it is..."Pralay- The Great Deluge". And i hope that in the second part our all questions will be answered.

All over a great work. I finished it within 2 days. It's actually fascinating. And wonderful suspense. Must read it. It's really good.

My rating: 4.5/5
